The Scientific Ocean Drilling Database contains bibliographic records related to Deep Sea Drilling Project (DSDP), Ocean Drilling Program (ODP), Integrated Ocean Drilling Program, and International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP) research spanning from 1969 to the present.

Approximately 30% of the bibliographic records are from publications produced by the drilling programs (e.g., ODP Proceedings series), and 70% are from serial publications, abstracts, conference proceedings, maps, etc.

The database is hosted by the American Geosciences Institute (AGI) and is updated on a weekly basis from entries made to the GeoRef database.
